Balochistan Disaster and Home Affairs Advisor Prime Minister Ziaullah Langov said the severe floods claimed 57 lives, including women and children.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Region, Abdulaziz Al-Aqili, in a brief presentation of the extent of the disaster caused by the recent rains and floods, said that around 10,000 homes were damaged, of which 6,700 were completely destroyed, while six large bridges were damaged, as well as displacement of thousands of people. The catastrophic monsoon rains also led to the collapse of two small dams in the Toba Kakar mountain range in Balochistan. On the other hand, the Pakistani Disaster Management Authority confirmed that at least 10 people were killed and another 17 were injured in the floods and roof collapse in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province due to heavy rains.
