Pakistan renews its appeal to the international community to support it in rehabilitation after the floods

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif renewed his appeal to the international community, international partners and donors to support his country in the process of rebuilding and rehabilitating the areas affected by the floods.

Has explained in a release today in the occasion of World Food Day, which falls on October 16, that the situation in Pakistan became very difficult after the floods that hit the country questyear, which killed more than 1,700 people and caused severe damage to property, infrastructure and agricultural crops.

He affirmed his government’s commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to reduce poverty, improve health, education and economic growth.

Shahbaz Sharif also called on the world to work together to address the threats posed by climate change to food security.
