Pakistan welcomes the decision to remove it from the “gray zone”

Pakistan welcomed the International Financial Action Task Force’s decision to remove him from the gray list.

In a statement today, Pakistani Foreign Minister Hanna Rabbani Kahr said: “This development reflects the international community’s confidence in Pakistan’s commitment to its international responsibilities.

He added that this decision is a success for the Pakistani government’s efforts to meet all the conditions imposed by the Financial Action Group (FATF) on Pakistan to remove it from the gray list on combating terrorist financing and money laundering.

The group included Pakistan on the gray list in mid-2018 and asked it to strengthen financial supervision.
