Paris Saint-Germain are the second round of the Champions League despite the 2-1 victory against Juventus

Turin (Italy): Paris Saint-Germain beat Juventus 2-1 on Wednesday thanks to a second-half goal from defender Nuno Mendes, but rivals Benfica won Champions League Group H by scoring more goals in away from home in all the matches. Benfica beat Maccabi Haifa 6-1 in the other match of the same group, drawing the Portuguese side with their French counterpart with 14 points, as the two games that joined them ended 1-1 and they scored more than they conceded a nine-goal difference. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring in the 13th minute when he received the ball from Lionel Messi and dribbled the Juventus defenders before firing a low shot that hit the net. Juventus equalized early in the second half, when defender Leonardo Bonucci headed the goal, using a cross from Juan Cuadrado. Paris Saint-Germain sealed the win in the 69th minute when Mbappe sent a perfect through ball to substitute Nuno Mendes, who scored a goal one minute after entering in field. Juventus has secured a place in European League, finishing third with three points. (Reuters)
