House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has added Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger, an outspoken critic of Trump, accused the House Select Committee with investigating January 6th attack, she said in a declaration on Sunday.
“I have sworn to support and defend the Constitution – and even if this is not the position I expected it to be in or searched out, when duty call, I’ll always answer, ”Kinzinger said in a statement announcing that he had accepted the post.
Last week Pelosi rejected two of The choices of minority leader Kevin McCarthy for the select committee, prompting the Republican to swear to pull everything of its proposed representatives. Pelosi said he spoke with McCarthy, “on the objections raised” to his decision appoint the Republican Representative Jim Banks, of Indiana and Jim Jordan, of Ohio.
