“Piers Morgan Slams ‘Fork-Tongued’ Harry and Meghan as Royal Ratings Take a Tumble”

Piers Morgan was shocked after an article was shared on Twitter claiming that the popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the United States was plummeting. The article was in reference to the release of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, which was released following the couple’s Netflix documentary series. Morgan took to Twitter to address the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and his post was met with a range of responses from his 8.3 million followers.

The Newsweek poll revealed that Harry had dropped 45 points in public opinion while Meghan had dropped 36 points in less than a month. Despite this, Spare became the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever on the day of its release and was a huge commercial success.

In the book, Harry shared intimate details about his personal life, which was met with ridicule by popular US hosts. The poll also revealed that almost half of Americans, 44%, said Harry was wrong to include details of private family conversations in his book, while 16% said they had a more positive view.

The Duke of Sussex also recalled an awkward silence that followed after Meghan made a joke when she attended the Trooping of the Colour, the late Queen’s birthday celebrations. Photos from the event showed the royal family in high spirits, with Meghan smiling on the balcony between her husband and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
