Piers Morgan’s wife has addressed his time on Good Morning Britain and his relationship with his co-stars. However, while many called Susanna Reid his “TV wife”, Celia Walden admits that Susanna was better suited to him.
She was better at the whole ‘wife’ thing than me, she was very good at managing him.
Despite Piers, 56, losing his job just three months ago in the wake of his blistering attack against Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, 39, the outspoken broadcaster has hinted that there may be a potential return on the cards.
This is something that his wife Celia, 45, would be in favour of after seeing Piers “staring” at her every morning.
During his time on the breakfast programme, Piers built a steady relationship with fellow anchor, Susanna Reid, 50.
On a daily basis, the pair would engage in rows similar to a married couple but this didn’t worry Celia.

Speaking in a new interview, while discussing Susanna, Celia said: “We used to b**ch about him behind his back together.
“In fact, I always felt she was better at the whole ‘wife’ thing than me, she was very good at managing him.”
Celia admits that while Piers was often “quiet” at home, she now wishes he was still working on Good Morning Britain.
Aside from the fact she has to “wake up and there he is,” staring at her, the novelist admits that Piers was often quiet after coming home from work.

The happy couple first met in 2005 after being introduced by Piers’ editor
How is Piers Morgan famous?
She went on to tell The Sun: “He used to come back and by 9am was absolutely flattened, lying there on the sofa, catatonic, not bothering anyone.
“Unfortunately he’s got all his energy back now – please, someone, just give him a job!”
The happy couple, who share nine-year-old daughter Elise, almost didn’t meet as Piers wasn’t too fond of the idea.
Former GQ editor-in-chief, Dylan Jones, who was then Piers’ editor when he was a “celebrity interrogator” introduced the pair.

Despite his initial hesitation, Piers has thanked Dylan for their meeting, 11 years after the pair married.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, former Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers reflected on the news that Dylan would be stepping down as editor-in-chief of GQ magazine, 22 years after starting.
Describing his former editor, he said: “He’s a fantastically talented and mischievous journalist.”
Piers went on to add that Dylan was “the guy who emailed me back in 2005” before adding: “To ask if I would interview a gossip columnist from the Daily Telegraph.”
“Why would I want to do that?’ I replied, dismissively,” Piers added.
Recalling his conversation with Dylan, Piers penned: “You may want to see the eight-page Agent Provocateur photo-shoot she’s done for us before declining,’ he persisted.”
He continued: “He sent over the pictures, and after viewing them, I immediately cleared my schedule for a series of increasingly long ‘interviews’ with the gossip columnist.
“Her name was Celia Walden – and I married her five years later. Thanks, Dylan.”
