Sony’s PlayStation Portal: Release Date and Price Revealed
Take out your diaries, Sony’s PlayStation Portal device finally has a release date: November 15th. The price is already known: it will be necessary to pay 219.99 euros to obtain this new technology tool, which, let us remember, is not a console laptop itself. Namely, pre-orders have already opened their doors on the manufacturer’s store.
A device, not a console
If you still haven’t figured out what PlayStation Portal is all about, just consider it a “playback device to distance” which has for unique vocation to use PlayStation’s Remote Play technology which allows you to play content installed on your PS5 from a third-party device (PC, Mac, iOS, Android). The object has an eight-inch LCD screen, displaying 1080p | 60 frames per second, and all the benefits of DualSense, the PS5 controller. Please note that “games streamed using the PlayStation Plus Premium streaming feature are not supported (by the Portal)”. So you can’t go to the PS Plus and start a title that hasn’t been installed on your PS5 beforehand – even if the software in question is normally available for streaming.
And on reminds you that with all this the next two audio devices from Sony have also unveiled their prices. We find the Pulse Explore wireless headphones, and the Pulse Elite headphones. They can connect via the PlayStation Link, a name to describe a connection technology allowing low latency and “lossless” audio quality, in addition to being able to easily switch between multiple compatible devices. You will have to pay €219.99 for the headphones and €149.99 for the headphones.
