Pokemon Go Introduces Paldea Pocket Monsters

Introduction

The developers of Pokemon Go have revealed their intentions to integrate Paldea Pocket Monsters into the app for iOS and Android. This news marks the inclusion of Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet, an update that has been seven years in the making, bringing regional Pokemon up to date. The Paldea Pokemon region will become part of the Adventures Abound season, which commences at 10 a.m. local time on September 1st.

A Paldean Adventure

The upcoming in-game event for Pokemon Go, entitled A Paldean Adventure, will see the launch of new Paldean Pokemon on September 5th.

The event will run from September 5th to September 10th and will introduce Scarlet and Violet starter Pokemon Sprigatito, Fire-type Fuecoco, and Water-type Quaxly. Additionally, players can expect to encounter Lechonk, Oinkologne, Oinkologne, Floragato, Meowscarada, Crocalor, Skeledirge, Quaxwell, and Quaquaval during the event.

Following the event, players may hatch Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from 5 km eggs, and Lechonk from 2 km eggs.

Special Research Task and Raids

From September 5, a Special Research task with branching paths will be available, allowing trainers to choose a Paldean Pokemon as their partner.

In addition to Paldea region Pokemon, Unown A, D, E, L, and P will be available in Raids, with Shiny Unown Pokemon also appearing. Hoppip, Houndour, Buizel, and Fletchling will appear as Shinies more frequently.

The season will also introduce new Avatar items and bonuses, including clothing based on The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
