An attacker was shot and killed after trying to stab police officers in The Old City of Jerusalem on On Friday afternoon, police and hospital officials said, amid heightened tension as security forces march: out an intense manhunt for six escaped Palestinian security prisoners.

He was taken to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in critical condition with a gunshot wound in The upper body, where he later died of his wounds, the hospital said.
