Nuno Santo Surprises Al-Ittihad Fans with Fiery Statements Following Victory Against Al-Fateh

The Portuguese coach, Nuno Santo, the technical director of Al-Ittihad Club, surprised the team’s fans with fiery statements following the victory against Al-Fateh in the first round of the Saudi Roshen League Championship.

The dean was able to turn the tables on Al-Fateh and achieve victory with two goals to one through Romarinho and N’Golo Kante.

Thus, Al-Ameed’s score rose to 18 points at the top of the Saudi Roshan League standings, instead of Al-Hilal, which fell into the trap of a draw against Damac, falling to third place with 17 points.

Santo said in the press conference after the match: “The team’s fans helped us a lot in today’s match and gave us match points.”

He continued: “Unfortunately, Ahmed Sharahili was injured and has now gone to the hospital for an MRI to determine the type of his injury. We hope it will be simple.”

He stressed: “We must find solutions. We have Swailem Al-Menhali returning from injury and he needs time, but we always have to find solutions.”

The dean’s coach continued: “As long as I am in the Jeddah Federation, the team spirit and the group’s connection to each other are the most important things to me.”

During his speech, Nuno Santo refused to answer about the death of Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud.

He added: “For those who know me as a coach, my priority is always the group before everything else. We work to develop and improve every player on the team. What is special about this team is that they have one spirit, and the positive spirit is everything.”

He concluded: “Without the appropriate mentality, we cannot achieve anything. What we achieved last season was an amazing achievement, and as long as I am here, my focus will remain only on the group first, second, tenth, and finally, the group is everything.”
