Informed sources told Al-Madina that the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal stadium will be ready to host the derby between Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly on Friday 1 October, in the seventh round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professionals Cup.

The Professional League Competitions Committee has included Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium as one of the stadiums hosting matches this season.

It is worth noting that the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal stadium in Jeddah was closed in mid-2012 to carry out maintenance work on the stands, and many companies have managed to maintain the stadium, until the maintenance procedures have been completed.

The maintenance works included a proper cultivation of the stadium, the increase of the capacity of the stands to 30,000 spectators, the creation of two platforms, the first gold and the second silver, the improvement of the royal cabin, the decoration of the stadium with two panels. electronic, the creation of 4 changing rooms and a VAR video room, with a private room, in addition to the adoption of electronic gates and parking lots, and the setting up of the media center with the latest current technologies.
