Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have previously cited press intrusion as a key reason for stepping down from royal duties and moving to the US. Loose Women panellist Jane Moore has now compared the Duke of Sussex to the high-profile A-list celebrities who live in the UK.
The 59-year-old commented in her latest column that Prince Harry has depicted “London in particular” as a “hotbed of paparazzi chasing his every move”.
The writer called into question the Royal’s claim as she highlighted famous stars who have managed to maintain a low-profile while living in the UK, including Rihanna, George Clooney and Janet Jackson.
The ITV panellist suggested that these A-listers are “largely left alone” as she remarked that famous faces don’t get to enjoy royal protection.
Writing in The Sun, Jane stated: “Prince Harry continually depicts the UK – and London in particular – as a hotbed of paparazzi chasing his every move. Hmmm.

“Now it’s been revealed that actor Kevin Spacey has been living here ‘under the radar’ for the past two years.
“None of these people, it should be noted, have the ‘royal protection’ that Harry enjoyed on these shores.”
Her comments come after the Duke spoke candidly about his decision to relocate his family abroad, after stepping down from his royal duties.
However, Prince Harry said the paparazzi attention didn’t stop following their move across the pond.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan bought their home in Santa Barbara, they temporarily lived at Tyler Perry’s Los Angeles mansion, as he addressed the couple’s privacy issues.
“The helicopters, the drones, the paparazzi cutting the fence – it was madness,” Prince Harry said.
“The people out here, their response was, ‘Well, what do you expect if you live in L.A.?’”

The couple has since moved to their home in Montecito where Harry said the situation has been “way better” for them and their family.
Meanwhile, Jane compared the royal to British actress Emily Blunt, who recently moved back to the UK to spend lockdown with her American husband John Krasinski and their two young daughters.
The Mary Poppins star had admitted there was no better place to be as “practical” Britons can get through a crisis.
Emily commented: “The Brits are really good at getting in line and just going, ‘Yeah, it’s bad isn’t it?’ We’re quite practical.'”

The Loose Women host added that she was glad to see someone famous praising their home country rather than “constantly whingeing about it”.
The ITV star has been vocal in recent weeks about Prince Harry’s latest admissions as he opened up about his life living as a royal, more recently in a documentary with Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, Harry is set to return to the UK on July 1 for the unveiling of a statue to honour his late mother Princess Diana, on what would have been her 60th birthday.
It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will soon expect their second child together.
