Prince of Hail sponsors the opening ceremony of the Saudi Arabia Dakar Rally

In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Hail Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Hail Region, Hail attended the official opening ceremony today of the third edition of the Saudi Dakar Rally 2022 AD, which took place at the Al Maghwa Amusement Park. For the celebrations, before the start of tomorrow’s official race, which will last 14 days, during which the competitors will cross 12 different stages, in the various governorates, cities and regions of the Kingdom.

The opening ceremony was also attended by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, the Saudi Motorsports Company, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Sports Mr . Badr Al-Qadi, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Sport, Mr. Abdulelah Al-Dallak, and the President of the International Automobile Federation Mohammed Bin Sulayem, the official presentation of the vehicles participating in the six categories of the race (auto, motorcycles, quads, trucks and light desert vehicles, in addition to the Dakar Classic category).

Tomorrow Hail will host the real starting point of the rally, which has a total distance of 8,119 km, of which 4,261 km of prove specials subject to timekeeping, while the 12 stages of the race will be as follows:

The first stage (January 2), Hail: 1128 km – the special stage 352 km.

The second stage (January 3), Hail – Artawiyah: 568 km – the special stage 338 km.

The third stage (January 4), Artawiya – Qaisumah: 555 km – the special stage 368 km.

Fourth stage (January 5), Qaisumah – Riyadh: 707 km – Special stage 465 km.

Fifth stage (January 6), Riyadh: 637 km – Special stage 421 km.

Sixth stage (January 7), Riyadh: 562 km – Special stage 348 km.

Day of rest (January 8) Riyadh.

Stage eight (January 10), Dawadmi – Wadi Al-Dawasir: 830km – special stage 395km.

– Stage 10 (January 12), Wadi Al-Dawasir – Bisha: 759 km – special stage 375 km.

Eleventh stage (January 13), Bisha: 501 km – Special stage 346 km.

– Twelfth stage (January 14), Bisha – Jeddah: 680 km – Special stage 164 km.

The 44th edition of the Saudi Dakar Rally 2022 attracted more than 650 participants in representation of 70 nationalities from all over the world, making it the largest edition in terms of participation in the history of the rally.
