Priyanka Chopra speaks about Jamia’s violence

Several filmmakers, actors, lyricists and writers have condemned police violence against students at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi and the Muslim University of Aligarh. A recent addition to the Bollywood celebrity list is actress Priyanka Chopra. The actress is a UNICEF global goodwill ambassador and works for the cause of education.

Raising concern about the Citizenship Amendment Law and violence against students, Priyanka spoke on her Twitter account. She wrote, “Education for every child is our dream. Education is what allowed them to think independently. We raised them to have a voice. and every voice will help change India. #HaveVoiceWillRaise #HaveVoiceMustRaise. “
