Production from Indian oil refineries increased by 14.2% in August

Government interim data showed today, Wednesday, that the crude oil refining rate of Indian refineries in August rose about 14.2% year-on-year to 4.36 million barrels per day.

The data also showed that natural gas production increased 20.2% to 2.92 billion cubic meters per day, while crude oil production fell about 2.3% to 596,000 barrels per day.

India is the third largest consumer and importer of oil in the world.
