Sony is expected to make its latest PS4 games announcement for PS Now soon, with current subscribers preparing to lose one of its biggest titles.

For those that might not be familiar with it, PlayStation Now is a game streaming service offered by Sony that can be run through PC, PS4 or PS5 consoles.

PS Now doesn’t include PlayStation 5 games and usually adds and replaces titles at the start of every month.

And in the coming days, Borderlands 3 will be removed from PS Now, with new PS4 games added next week.

Borderlands 3 joined PS Now in April 2021 and has been available to play through for several months.

But Wednesday, September 29, is expected to be the last day that the looter shooter can be accessed using a PS Now subscription.

There has been no word so far on what will be replacing, or how long gamers will have to wait until it returns.

In fact, there’s no guarantee Borderlands 3 will ever return, meaning anyone with it on their to-play list should log in before it’s too late.

There have been no rumours or leaks to suggest what will be announced for PS Now in October 2021.

Sony usually waits until the first Monday of the new month to reveal its plans, meaning we could hear something in a week.

However, the company is known to play fast and loose with its own unofficial rules, so there’s a slim chance we will find out in the coming days.

Borderlands 3 cemented itself as a leading looter shooter when it launched back in 2019 and continues to be supported with updates from the GearBox development team.

The story of BD3 is in line with the previous titles in the franchise and set at the hard edge of the galaxy, where a notorious group of planets are ruthlessly exploited by militarized corporations.

Dubbed the Borderlands, the region has been overtaken by a crazed cult known as The Children of the Vault, spreading like an interstellar plague.

Gamers can play solo or co-op as one of four unique Vault Hunters who must score loads of loot so that they can save the galaxy from the latest fanatical threat.
