Putin’s ally: Kyiv it is a Russian city… and we will restore it

In a fiery new statement, Russia’s Security Council deputy head Dmitry Medvedev said on Sunday that the Ukrainian capital “Kiev is a Russian city that will be restored.”

The words of the former Russian president and deputy head of the Russian Security Council came through his account on the “Telegram” application, in response to Ukrainian threats to restore “Crimea” after Russian withdrawal from Kherson, in the south of the country.

“The Capital of Ancient Russia”

He added: “Kyiv is the capital of ancient Russia, and in secondly, Kiev is a major Russian city in the Russian Empire, and in thirdly, Kiev is the capital of one of the republics of the Soviet Union”.

He also noted that “Kiev is simply a Russian city whose residents have always been thinking and talking in Russian”, adding: “So that everything is absolutely clear, what should be returned and how it will be restored.”
