Qatar to Donate 2022 World Cup Stadium to Tunisia

Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, prime minister and interior minister of Qatar, recently made a two-day working visit to Tunisia. During his visit, he expressed Qatar’s readiness to cooperate in the sports field by transferring one of the stadiums that hosted the last World Cup finals to Tunisia. This stadium, known as the 974 stadium, consists mainly of sea containers and can be dismantled. Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa was accompanied by a high-ranking delegation that included the Minister of Labour, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the State of Qatar. It is expected that economic agreements between the two countries will be signed during the visit.
