LONDON (AP) — Queen Elizabeth II attended a double baptism on Sunday for two of her great-grandchildren.
the 95-year-old British monarch, who has several recent . cancelled public apparitions on her doctor’s advice, looked at the baptisms of August, son of Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank and Lucas Philip, son of Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindal.
The private shift in the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, west of London, attended by members of the Royal family and good friends.
August was born in February and Lucas in March. Both boys’ mothers are granddaughters of the Queen.
The queen has 12 great-grandchildren, the youngest of die 2-month-old Sienna Elizabeth, daughter of Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Concern over the frost’s health was expressed last month, when she spent a night in a hospital in London after recording for medical research. In late October, palace officials said the monarch had been told to rest by doctors for two weeks and only lasts on light tasks.
She planned to attend the annual Remembrance Service on November 14 but pulled out at the last minute after her sprain back.
Wednesday she returned to public tasks, keeping a in-person audience in Windsor Castle with the outgoing head of British Armed Forces.
Elizabeth is Britain’s longest-living and longest-reigning monarch. She is celebrating her platinum anniversary – 70 years on the throne – next year.
