Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been sued by the football association over his comments over video assistant referee Mike Dean after his side defeat at Chelsea.
Hasenhuttl was not happy met the shipment from off of James Ward-Prowse during the 3-1 defeat on October 2nd
The midfielder initially received a yellow card by referee Martin Atkinson for a late tackle on Jorginho, but it was upgraded to red after Dean told his colleague that review the incident on the field monitor.
A statement from the FA read: “It is alleged that comments made By the manager for two post-match interviews constitute inappropriate behavior in that they doubted the integrity of the VAR match official and/of implicit bias and/of bring the game in discredited.”
Hasenhuttl, who in charged with two infringements of Rule E3 has until Tuesday to respond.
Ward-Prowse’s resignation came in the 77th minute of the match, with the score at 1-1, before Chelsea scored twice against 10 men to seal victory.
