Real Madrid announces the departure of Mayoral and joins Getafe with a definitive contract

BERLIN: The club Spain’s Real Madrid announced today Monday that their striker Borja Mayoral has left the team and joined Getafe on a five-year contract. Mayoral, 25, spent the second half of last season in loan to Getafe, scored six goals in 18 games and has now left Real Madrid after being associated with the Royal Club for 15 years. “Real Madrid CF have agreed with Getafe the transfer of player Borja Mayoral,” said Real Madrid in a note on their site web. He added: “Borja Mayoral arrived in our academy in 2007 and has since joined Real Madrid, with whom he won the Champions League (1), the World Cup for club (1), the European Super Cup (1) and the Spanish Super Cup (1). ” Mayoral was not in able to establish itself as a key element in Real Madrid’s first team. Mayoral made his first appearance with Real Madrid in 2015 and was later traded in loan to Wolfsburg in the 2016/2017 season, before returning to the “Santiago Bernabeu” the following year. Then it was sold in loan for two years to the Levant and then it passed in loan for two seasons to Roma, but Getafe received his services last January and remained with the team until the end of last season before it was announced that they had signed a final contract.
