Real Madrid Awarded €133m Bonus for Champions League Victory Last Season

Real Madrid has won a total prize of €133.7m ($146.4m) from the European Football Federation (UEFA), the biggest financial reward in the football body’s history, according to an announcement from UEFA. The financial prize comes from various sources including the money Real Madrid received when entering the group stage, additional rewards for results, and rights for broadcasting in Spain. Liverpool was awarded €120m ($131.4m), making them runners-up, while Bayern Munich, which exited in the quarter-finals, got €110m ($120.4m) and Manchester City, which reached the semi-finals, received €109m ($119m). UEFA said the club with the least money was Moldovan Sheriff Tiraspol.
