Real Madrid beat Celtic 5-1 to pass in head to the group in Champions League

Madrid: Real Madrid beat Celtic 5-1 to pass in head to Group F in Champions League, recovering from their first defeat of the season against RB Leipzig last week. Real scored with Luka Modric and Rodrigo on two penalties, and the rest of the goals came from Marco Asensio, Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde to win at the end of the group stage, bringing his score to 13 points, one point behind the Leipzig, the runner-up. Both teams qualified together. Shakhtar Donetsk finished third with six points, were eliminated from the group stage and will move on to the European League. Celtic are last in the group with two points. Modric and Rodrygo scored two penalties in the first half, and Asensio increased Real’s lead six minutes in the second half with a superb shot, using a Dani Carvajal cross. Ten minutes later, Valverde entered from the right and sent a powerful cross which Vinicius easily converted in network from close range. After another ten minutes, it was time for Valverde to make his mark and score the fifth goal with his unique and unstoppable way from long distance. This is the fifth goal of the Uruguayan midfielder from outside area of rigor in this season in all competitions, more than any other player in the top five European leagues.
