Real Madrid recently sent a letter of thanks to the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, after he publicly supported Vinicius Junior, a player from the Royal Club. The gesture was appreciated by the club and they released an official statement expressing their gratitude towards Infantino.

In the statement, Real Madrid also thanked Brazilian President, Lulu da Silva, and several other important figures such as Casemiro, Neymar, Mbappe, Roberto Carlos, Kaka, Sancho, and Rio Ferdinand for their unwavering support of Vinicius Junior.

Real Madrid Takes on the President of the Spanish Federation

However, the same statement from Real Madrid contained harsh criticism of Luis Rubiales, the President of the Spanish Federation, due to his inaction regarding the recent racial abuse directed at Vinicius Junior.

The statement read, “Yesterday the referee and video officials abdicated and they made unfair and biased decisions, and what they did was repeated in many matches. We are concerned that no action has been taken by the Spanish Football Federation despite clear signs and developments. The club hopes that action will be taken to end racism.”

Real Madrid continued with their strong stance on the matter by saying, “We will continue to work to maintain the value of the coexistence model, and Junior, a player from the Royal Club, was subjected to racist abuse by Valencia fans at yesterday’s meeting that brought them together.”
