The former 19 Kids & Counting star, Josh and Anna Duggar, recently welcomed their sixth child, a daughter named Maryella Hope, and the couple just revealed the meaning of their daughter’s name on an Instagram post after many fans Counting We asked questions.
Josh and Anna are already parents of Mackenzie, 9, Michael, 8, Marcus, 6, Meredith, 3, and Mason, 2. On Saturday, Anna published a photo of little Maryella with Meredith and Mason. long legend that they chose the name of their daughter to honor Josh’s late grandmother, Mary Duggar.
Anna wrote that as soon as they learned that they had a daughter, she and Josh started discussing name ideas and thought they had been kept to a minimum. She said that when Josh’s grandmother died in late May, they considered Mary’s name, but they hesitated. Anna explained that Grandma Mary was such a special woman and they wanted their daughter’s name to remind her of how special she was and to continue her legacy, but without the impression of wanting to replace her.
“Soon, our list of names that we had reduced to 3 names had become a list of about twelve names with a hyphen Mary,” Anna wrote. “As we continued talking about names, Josh and I fell in love with the name Maryella! ♥ ️ We chose Hope as the middle name because of the hope we have because of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. “
The 31-year-old woman then spoke to her disciples about Jesus, and she also revealed that during her pregnancy there were many unexpected joys, including pregnancy announcements from other members of the Duggar family.
Anna said that they were also grieving alongside those they loved most, which made them remember how fragile life can be and how short. Despite their sorrow after losing loved ones, Anna says they have comfort, hope and strength because they will one day be reunited with them in heaven.
The mother of six then summed up her message saying that Maryella Hope Duggar was a blessing, and she and Josh were grateful to her.
Anna delivered Maryella on Wednesday, November 27th at 9:12 am, and she weighed eight pounds, two ounces. The last Grand Duggar was 20 inches long.
“The eve of Thanksgiving, our hearts are overflowing with joy and gratitude for the coming of our sixth child!” Said the couple in a statement to Us Weekly. “Anna had a quick job and an uncomplicated delivery. We are really grateful for a beautiful little girl in good health!
