Republic of Ireland produced a spicy second-half display to secure a morally stimulating 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw against Serbia in the Aviva Stadium.

Three days on escape an embarrassing defeat to Azerbaijan, Ireland found itself a new comeback in Dublin when Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s brilliant almost-post header gave Serbia the lead half way though the first half.
