“Reunion” .. The Arab Summit continues its work in Algeria

For the second day in the Algerian capital, Arab leaders are completing the work of the thirty-first summit entitled “Reunion”, the first of its kind in three years.

In the midst of his work, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed today, Wednesday, before the Arab summit hosted by Algeria, that his people are suffering the scourge of occupation despite international resolutions.

He added that Israel insists on undermining the two-state solution, noting that it continues to intimidate Palestinians and carry out arrests and executions.

He also accused Israel of systematically destroying the two-state solution with its unilateral practices, stressing that his country will reconsider all relations with it.

The Palestinian president said Palestine is looking forward to gaining full membership in the United Nations, calling for the formation of an Arab legal committee to prosecute crimes against its people.

He stressed that the Palestinian people are subject to the most ferocious Israeli campaign to Judaize Jerusalem.

Iraq confirms its support for the principle of dialogue

In parallel, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid said he hoped the Algiers summit would represent a starting point for joint Arab action.

He stressed support for the principle of dialogue to achieve stability in Yemen and Sudan.

He also pointed out that Iraq has fought a ferocious war on terrorism and continues to pursue its cells, stressing that the Iraqi government faces major reform and corruption challenges.

In parallel, the Iraqi president said that the practices of Iran and Turkey have led to a threat to water security. in Iraq, indicating that there is no construction or cooperation except through dialogue and the activation of the common interest.

Kuwait calls for a global solution to the Palestinian question

For his part, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah stressed that global challenges require us to carry out joint Arab action.

He also renewed his country’s appeal to the international community to reach a global solution to the Palestinian question.

He stressed that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria, while expressing the concern of his country over the refusal of the Houthi militia to renew the truce, calling on the United Nations to press for a solution in Yemen.

He denounced the Houthi terrorist attack on the Yemeni port of Al-Dhaba, demanding that the perpetrators of the terrorist operations in Yemen are held accountable.

He called on Iran to respect the principles of good neighborliness and non-interference in our affairs, stressing the importance of protecting waterways.

In addition, he stressed support for international efforts requiring dialogue on Ukraine, noting that Kuwait joins the international multilateral system.

Jordan: Jerusalem is the center of our defense of the nation’s identity

For his part, the Crown Prince of Jordan Hussein bin Abdullah II stressed that the repercussions of the Crown and the war in Ukraine require joint action.

In his speech at the summit, he said that “food security, water and energy resources are major challenges for our countries”, stressing that the vast natural and human resources and strategic location must be exploited.

He explained that the achievement of a pace global and the resolution of the Palestinian question remain the main issue, adding: “We support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people who defend their land and Jerusalem is the center of our defense of the identity of the nation.”

To this, he invited “the brothers in Iraq to make greater efforts to achieve stability. “

And he also added: “We support solutions that lead to stability in Yemen and Libya “.

Interestingly, the Algerian capital hosts Arab leaders in the 31st summit entitled “Reunion”, the first to be held in three years.
