Richard Riakporhe describes himself as ‘a monster’ after knock-out win and warns

Richard Riakporhe described himself as “a monster” after the demolition of Olanrewaju Durodola and says cruiserweight rivals “hide from me”.

The British cruiserweight contender delivered a careerbest victory, stopping Durodola in the fifth round of a WBC title eliminator in the SSE Arena, Wembley.

Riakporhe extended to be unbeaten record to 13 wins, with nine interruptions, and believes he can become a formidable champion.

“You know what, i think that was a decent one performance’ Riakporhe told Sky Sports.

“I listened to my coach, listening to my corner, and I am just hungry.

“I was out of the ring for 22 months. I fought a month ago, and I am back in the gym on Monday.

“L just told my team, ‘Listen I just want be one world champion. a united world champion and me know I can do it.’ To be just a case of time.”

AN left hook of Riakporhe dropped Durodola, who was then quickly stopped by a barrage of fierce blows.

“Listen, I’m a beast. That’s not my level,” said Riakporhe, who want fight at the home of Crystal Palace football club.

BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom was full of praise for Riakporhe, who survived a horrific stabbing incident for the launch of a successful boxing career.

“Like he said, he’s a… monster, but every fighter needs activity,” said Shalom out of the ring for two years.

“This man almost lost his life.
