Ronaldo’s 197th appearance for national team could have broken World Cup record

Cristiano Ronaldo will be making his 197th international appearance for Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifying match against Liechtenstein, which would set a new record for most appearances in men’s soccer, surpassing Kuwaiti Bader Al-Mutawa’s record of 196 international matches. Ronaldo, who turned 38 years old last month, has also set the record for most goals in international football with 118 goals.
