Russia accepts a warship with special characteristics into the waters

The Russian Vyborg shipyard has announced that it has recently launched a new warship that will work for the fleet.

According to available information, “the new ship was developed as part of the Russian state project 23550 and is expected to work as part of the coast guard forces of the Russian FSB.”

The new ship has a length of 114.5 m, a width of 19.5 m and a displacement equivalent to 8,500 tons. It can carry a crew of 60 people, cover 12,000 nautical miles in each mission and operate for 70 days after refueling. and consumables.

This ship will be armed with 76-mm guns, 30-mm AK-306M screens, 12.7-mm machine guns, anti-aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles, as well as platforms for placing Russian Ka-27, Ka-226 and Mi-8 helicopters, platforms. for the transportation of Russian helicopters Ka-27, Ka-226 and Mi-8.

Russia is developing ships within the framework of project 23550 to perform the functions of both border protection mechanisms and marine facilities in Arctic waters, as well as for guarding and towing ships and escorting them to ports, and can also be used as military supply ships, and what distinguishes them from structural strength, allows you to work in waters covered with ice up to 1.7 m thick.
