Russia declares a ceasefire at the Azovstal evacuation facility for civilians

Russian forces stopped firing at the Azovstal steel complex in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol to open a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians for three days, starting today, Thursday.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Wednesday evening that the Russian military will open the corridor from eight in the morning until six in the evening (Moscow time), indicating that it will allow access to civilians who have taken refuge in the factory in Russia or in the territories controlled by Kiev.
