Russia: no one has any interest in the disintegration of the OPEC + mechanism

Today, Saturday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that “no one has an interest in the disintegration of the OPEC + mechanism and I don’t think that will happen”.

Lavrov added that the US exerts influence over the Ukrainian government in the talks in course between Moscow and Kiev.

Lavrov explained that Washington is preventing Kiev from accepting Russian minimum demands in the negotiations, Russian news channel RT reported.

Russia is the third largest oil producer in the world after America and Saudi Arabia, and is also the second largest crude oil exporter in the world after Saudi Arabia, and is an influential member of the OPEC Plus alliance, which includes 23 countries.

Russian production in 2021 reached 10.1 million barrels of crude oil and condensate.

Russia exported 4.7 million barrels a day of oil and condensed in 2021, or 45% of its production.

49% of Russia’s oil exports in 2021 went to European OECD member states, at 2.3 million barrels a day, while 25% of exports went to the Netherlands and Germany, at 1.1 million barrels per day.

30% of Russian oil exports are gone in China last year at 1.4%, while 4% is gone in America at 200,000 barrels a day.
