Russia said on Thursday that advanced weapons supplied by the West to Ukraine are making their way to the black market and into the hands of extremist and criminal groups. in Middle East, Central Africa and Asia.
Ever since Russia launched its military operation in Ukraine on February 24, the Western powers sent a treasure trove of weapons in Ukraine in an effort to help it fight Russian forces.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said NATO member states have sent at least 700 artillery systems, 80,000 missile systems, 800,000 artillery shells and 90 million ammunition in Ukraine.
“Most of these weapons have already entered or will soon enter the black market,” he told reporters in Moscow. “The international community is currently addressing this problem.” But he didn’t provide prove of his statements.

Russia has long warned that weapons destined for Ukraine could end up in the hands of criminals, although it has not provided details on where the weapons might end up.
