Russian defense: shooting down of a Mi-8 helicopter in Zaporizhia

Today, Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter was shot down near the village of Novotroitskoye in the Zaporizhia region.

Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced that Russian forces bombed 4 command posts of Ukrainian forces in the areas of the villages of “Stepovaya Novoselovkoye” in the Kharkov region, “Kolodesi” in Donetsk, “Trivonovka” and “Andreyevka” in the region of Kherson, as well as 62 artillery units in firing positions and concentration points for military personnel and equipment in 186 Ukrainian provinces.

He also claimed that Ukrainian forces carried out attacks on the positions of Russian units in the Kobyansk axis in direction of the villages of “Nikolaevka” and “Orlyanka” in the Kharkiv region, noting that all attacks were repelled and about 60 Ukrainian soldiers and militants were killed and one tank, 6 armored vehicles and 3 trucks were destroyed.

The Russian airstrikes also hit a Ukrainian defense institution that produces solid rocket fuel, explosives and gunpowder for the Ukrainian military, according to the spokesperson.

He also confirmed the destruction of 4 Ukrainian drones by the Russian air defense in the Kherson and Donetsk regions and the launch of 6 missiles by the American “HIMARS” missile launchers.
