The press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported that a new missile ship being developed for the army is currently being tested.
“Currently, the new Russian military ship Grad is being tested at the sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet,” the report says.
The statement added: “During the tests, the ship’s crew checks the operation of the artillery systems located in it and conducts firing tests from these weapons from different angles, and the ship’s crew tests the ship’s missile systems, life support systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems on board and maneuverability ship. After completion of the tests, the ship is expected to be handed over to the Russian army by the end of this year.”
The length of the ship is 75 m, width – 11 m, displacement – 949 tons. It can also move at a speed of 25 nautical knots and overcome 2,500 nautical miles for each task.
Its weapon system includes Russian Caliber cruise missiles, A-190 100mm cannons, Igla anti-aircraft missiles and AK-630-2 Duet anti-aircraft machine guns.
