Saint-Germain records five crown cases in its ranks

Paris: On Saturday night, French football team Paris Saint-Germain announced that five cases of the new Corona virus had been registered in its ranks. Saint-Germain stated in a note that four players had contracted the infection, along with one of the employees of the club. Saint-Germain did not reveal the identity of the infected, but confirmed that they were all subject to medical isolation. Saint-Germain are back in training after a hiatus due to Christmas celebrations, as they resume their French league campaign against host Lyon on Sunday. Saint-Germain leads the French championship standings with 46 points in 14 wins, four draws and one defeat, 12 points clear of his closest rivals, Marseille. (Dpa)
