Sam Hunt cancels his next performance in arrest after driving while intoxicated

Following his recent arrest with DUI in Nashville, country singer Sam Hunt canceled his next performance at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards in Tennessee on December 5th. Buy me a boat singer Chris Janson has been named as Hunt’s replacement.

Nashville police arrested Hunt last week after his arrest for driving on the wrong side of the road. According to WJHL NewsChannel 11 in Johnson City, Tennessee, Hunt was heading south on the northbound lanes of Ellington Parkway when officers were called to the scene and began to drive him.

The police said that when they met Hunt, he had bloodshot, watery eyes, a smell of alcohol and two empty beers in his vehicle. Hunt admitted that he had been drinking “recently”, and the police said in his incident report that he had shown “many signs of impairment in all tests done”.
