Sami Khedira invites Rudiger to join Real Madrid

Madrid: Former German international player Sami Khedira has urged his compatriot Antonio Rudiger, Chelsea defender, to move to Real Madrid. Khedira, 35, told the “Decoded” program on the “Dzen” platform today, “I hope he moves to Real Madrid and from my point of view he should.” “Real would be a fantastic match for Rudiger,” added Khedira, who played for Real Madrid from 2010 to 2015. Rudiger, 29, plays for Chelsea, but the club English confirmed his failure to retain the German defender, especially in light of the restrictions imposed on him by the British government as part of the sanctions that hit the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, owner of the club, after the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. Rudiger’s contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season in course and there has been rumors about the interest of the principals club Europeans for its inclusion. (Dpa)
