“Sandeep’s character took me into a surreal zone”: Parineeti Chopra“Sandeep’s character took me into a surreal zone”: Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra is on cloud nine as she is receiving good reviews for her powerful and versatile performances in three back to back films— ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’, ‘The Girl On The Train’, and ‘Saina’.

She is among the stars who never fails to leave her fans inspired. With her stellar on screen performances, Parineeti has clearly made a place for herself in people’s hearts. One of the most sought actresses in Bollywood right now, Parineeti is also an avid social media user.

The ‘Ishaqzaade’ actress who is currently enjoying her time in Turkey, on Monday took to her Instagram handle and shared some pictures from her latest offering ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’. Parineeti also penned an appreciation note for her co-stars and the team of the movie.

“Sometimes a character takes you into a surreal zone, and even you don’t realise how much you are giving and doing as an actor. It’s like sleeping – you don’t have any control; you wake up, and realise you’ve been lying asleep on a bed the past 8 hours. SANDEEP was that for me. I went into a zone for 3 months and allowed the actor in me to takeover,” she said.

“I was more than the roles I had done before this. I wanted to explore that. I shot the film and went to “sleep”. I woke up when you all watched Sandy. When I hear words like “awards”, “comeback”, it makes me emotional. Thankyou Dibakar sir, for letting me go to sleep.. It was a creatively satisfying, exhausting, but much needed sleep. I have woken up very fresh (haha). The audience’s love and critics reviews are the best morning tea (with extra sugar). Thankyou Arjun, Neenaji, Raghu sir for being the best partners .. and team SAPF who made this film into the gem it is. Let’s all be proud together,” Parineeti added.

Earlier, producer and director of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’, Dibakar Banerjee had said that the role of Sandeep was physically and mentally brutal for Parineeti.

“It was physically and mentally brutal, bruising, challenging, exhausting and stretched her to her limits. Her animosity with Arjun’s character channelled all the real anger I think many actresses constantly hide against the relentless patriarchy and mansplaining they encounter. She knows Sandy is the film,” Dibakar had said.

‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ is a raw and edgy suspense thriller that pits Arjun Kapoor versus Parineeti. On the work front, she will next star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Vanga’s crime drama film titled ‘Animal’.
