Saudi Arabia budget – 243 billion riyals earned and first quarterly surplus since 2019

Saudi Arabia’s budget data for the third quarter of 2021, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, of which Al Arabiya.net received a copy on Sunday, they revealed that the Kingdom’s quarterly revenue amounts to 243 billion riyals, compared with spending of 237 billion riyals.

The data on the budget Saudi Arabia revealed a surplus of 6.7 billion riyals in the third quarter, the first quarterly surplus since the first quarter of 2019.

The Kingdom’s oil revenue recorded 147.9 billion riyals in the third quarter, while the total budget revenue in the third quarter grew 13% year-on-year.

Oil revenues in the third quarter increased 60% year on year and 12% compared to the second quarter.

The Saudi Ministry of Finance announced that the government’s current account or reserves to finance the deficit have not been affected since the beginning of 2021.

The Saudi budget deficit has decreased since the beginning of 2021, to 5.4 billion riyals.

Numbers of the second quarter

Saudi budget revenue in the second quarter of 2021 was 248 billion riyals, compared to expenditures of 252.7 billion riyals, bringing the quarterly budget deficit to 4.6 billion riyals. by 31% to 116 billion riyals in the second quarter.

And oil revenues grew in the second quarter of 2021, by 13%, to 132 billion riyals.

The deficit level was 12 billion riyals for the first half of 2021, while revenues in the second quarter recorded 85% year-on-year growth.

The data of the budget Saudi Arabia showed that the kingdom’s spending on health increased by 20% in the first half of 2021.

The total value of loans in the second quarter was 21.5 billion riyals, while the volume of loans in the first half was 51 billion riyals.
