Saudi Market Authority approves 3 public offerings for funds belonging to “Al-Arabi Capital”

The Saudi Capital Market Authority has approved public offerings for 3 funds belonging to Al-Arabi Capital.

The authority said today, Wednesday, in a statement, that it agreed to “Al-Arabi Financial Company” to offer the shares of “Al-Arabi Financial Opportunity Fund” as a public offering.

And the Capital Market Authority announced the approval of “Al-Arabi Financial Company” to offer the shares of “Al-Arabi Financial Fund for Distribution Shares (Sharia Compliant)” as a public offering.

The Capital Market Authority has also approved the “Al-Arabi Financial Company” to offer the units of the “Al-Arabi Financial Opportunity Fund (Sharia-compliant)” as a public offering.

He adds that the decision to invest without reviewing the terms and conditions of the fund and studying its contents, can involve high risks. Therefore, the investor should examine the terms and conditions of the fund, which contain detailed information about the fund, its investment strategy and risk factors, and study them carefully in order to be able to estimate whether or not the investment is feasible in light of the risks involved , and in case in where it is not possible to understand the content of the terms and conditions, it is preferable to refer to the fund manager for further information.

He explained that the Authority’s approval of the fund’s offering should not be seen as an endorsement of the feasibility of investing in the fund, in as the Authority’s decision to approve the offer means that the regulatory requirements have been complied with under the Capital Markets Act and its implementing regulations.
