Saudi Tourism Minister: Hilton will double the number of its hotels in the Kingdom 5 times

The Saudi Minister of Tourism said today, Tuesday, that the Hilton group will increase the number of its hotels in the Kingdom to 75 from the current 15, that is to say multiplied by 5 times.

Minister Ahmed Al-Khatib added in a tweet on his “Twitter” account that the passage indicates “global confidence in the Kingdom’s progress in the development and development of the tourism system”.

The minister added that the main goal of partnering with world-leading companies such as Hilton is to expand the range and size of options available to tourists and increase tourism’s contribution to domestic product to 10% by 2030.

This happened when the minister met Chris Nassetta, CEO of Hilton Hotels.

The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the Kingdom is working with all parts of the public and private sector, as well as with international organizations, to develop a vision for a more flexible, sustainable and inclusive future.

The ministry said Saudi Arabia plays a leading role in the regional and global tourism sector, adding: “We are proud of our achievements and our work to achieve sustainable tourism.”

According to government data, the Saudi civil aviation sector strategy aims to place the Kingdom among the top 15 countries in the airport connectivity index with the world, ensuring complete interdependence that improves the business environment and achieves the objectives of the strategies. for the Hajj and Umrah sector, which aims at 30 million pilgrims, and the tourism sector, which aims at 100 million tourists by 2030, and for the Kingdom to be a logistics center connecting the three continents and a global platform for air and freight transport.
