Saudi Transport Minister: The Kingdom has launched pioneering initiatives to protect the environment locally and internationally

Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transportation and Logistics and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Railways Corporation, said recent memoranda of understanding highlight the environmental protection efforts made by Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Energy and other executive bodies such as the transport and logistics system.

He added that the Kingdom has big initiatives, is committed to carbon neutrality 2060, and has launched groundbreaking initiatives at the national and regional levels.

Al-Jasser’s speech came on the sidelines of the signing by the Saudi Ministry of Energy of 8 memoranda of understanding with government bodies for the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles yesterday.

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu said that the Saudi Minister of Energy and the chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the implementation of pilot projects for hydrogen applications in the transport sector in the city ​​of authority, as part of the circular carbon economy initiative.
