Scientists are working on a drug they claim can extend human life by 200 years.

Adding another 100 years to life may be science fiction, but scientists are working on a miracle cure that they think will allow people to live to 200 years.

The drug, which is taken in tablet form, eliminates the cells that contribute to the aging process in the human body, thereby doubling our lifespan.

Human aging is accelerated by cells called “zombie cells”, scientifically known as aging cells. Over the course of our lives, these cells stop dividing, build up inside our bodies, and eventually release compounds that accelerate aging.

The drug was also tested in mice in a 2020 experiment, and the results showed that rejuvenation eliminates senescent cells, resulting in the delay, prevention, or alleviation of many conditions associated with aging, including asthenia, cataracts, age-related osteoporosis, and loss of life. age-related muscle mass, heart failure, pulmonary fibrosis, diabetes and dementia. Overall, in mice, the results achieved improved physical function as well as increased health and longevity. The scientists are now working on testing the results in humans.

British computational biologist Dr. Andrew Steele, in his book On Human Longevity, argued that humans could very well live for more than 100 years with a certain type of drug.

In the book, he argues that research into anti-aging drugs that destroy cells that impair tissue function is already showing promising results and could be on the market within the next decade.

Dr. Steele told the Daily Mail: “I don’t think there’s any absolute maximum for how long we can live. I don’t see a physical or biological reason why people can’t live to be 200. The problem is whether we can we develop biomedical science to make this possible.”

“Every few years, there are studies that suggest some fundamental limit to human lifespan, but they always miss one important detail: you have never tried to cope with the aging process before.”

The tablets are reportedly already in human trials and could be on the market within the next 10 years.

However, even if science succeeds, the question remains whether people will want to live another 100 years.
