Scott Adams’ Racist Rant Leads to Removal of Dilbert Comic

Scott Adams’ long-running comic strip Dilbert has been officially removed from multiple newspaper networks, including Cleveland’s Plain Dealer, due to his racist rant online. Vice President of Content Chris Quinn from Plain Dealer/Cleveland.com stated that they are not a home for those who espouse racism and do not want to provide them with financial support. This is the latest in a string of statements that have seen Adams criticized on social media and his strip dropped from various outlets. Dilbert debuted in 1989 and follows the titular character navigating social situations in a corporate office setting. It has become well-known for its technical, obscure and absurdist comedic themes, as well as its Dilbert-esque characters.
