At the San Diego Comic-Con in July, Kevin Feige, who is in charge of Marvel, said that the second season of the hit show starring Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson will be on Disney+ in the middle of 2023. He also said the season will be a part of the MCU’s Phase Five. Aside from that, we don’t know a lot about what will happen in the second season of the time-traveling, reality-bending show. Read on to find out what we know about season two of “Loki” and how it fits into the MCU.

We’ll add the clip to this page as soon as we can.

Loki Season 2 Release Date

This summer, filming for “Loki” began in the UK. The second season will start on Disney+ in 2023, according to what Marvel said. There will be six parts.

This confirms the idea that the new season will start after the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, since the end of the first season introduced Kang the Conqueror, who is the main villain in Ant-Man 3, which is set to come out on February 17, 2023.

Loki Season 2 Plot

The plot of Loki season 2 is a secret, but at D23, it was said that the second chapter will have a big tie-in to the Multiverse Saga. When season 2 was announced, Hiddleston told Marvel that he was “excited about the possibilities” and that the team was in “deep, deep, deep discussions.” Since then, however, the actor has been quiet.

Mbatha-Raw told Popculture.com that she’s looking forward to seeing her character go to “some deeper, darker places.” Ravonna Renslayer was first introduced as a sort of anti-hero and a possible love interest for Mobius. However, she was later shown to be a bad person whose loyalty to the TVA is more important to her than anything else. In the last episode of the season, Ravonna goes off on her own to find freedom. “She wants to find out who tried to trick her. That’s what she’s going to look for, “Michael Waldron, the head writer, said something. (opens a new window) “She is a very scary person to meet out in the Multiverse. So let’s wait and see what happens.”

In the end, Sylvie, a different version of Loki who likes him, sends him to another dimension so she can finally kill He Who Remains. The killing doesn’t give her the satisfaction she was hoping for, and she is left alone at the Citadel at the End of Time. Sophia Di Martino told RadioTimes that she doesn’t know if her character will come back or not, but she did say that Sylvie’s last scene is “an interesting place to start another chapter” (via Marvel). We know she’s coming back, though.

When asked by Total Film about Loki’s second season, Hiddleston said: “What can I say? I’m still very interested and challenged by it. When season 1 ends, the story doesn’t end. I think that makes sense. Loki is almost even more unstable than he has ever been. He is as passionate, passionate, and chaotic as he has ever been. And some of that might need to be solved. There are things to sort out.”

Waldron has also given hints about what will happen. He said Deadline’s Hero Nation podcast, “The only reason the show was worth making in the first place is if we could find a new story to tell with this character” (opens in new tab). “We felt like we had to go through new feelings with Loki. That’s the only way to get into season 2. We found that for sure. It’s a great continuation of the story, but it feels different from the first season and should surprise people.”

Loki season 2 theories

Since the first season ended in total chaos, there are a lot of theories about what will happen in season 2. Sylvie started a war between different universes, Loki is stuck in another dimension, and a version of He Who Remains that is even more dangerous has taken power.

There is a statue of Kang the Conqueror in the new timeline where Loki is stuck. This means that Kang, a version of He Who Remains, is now in charge of the TVA and possibly all other timelines as well.

Nerdist thinks that Sylvie might remember Loki, even though Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t. This could happen because Sylvie killed He Who Remained and sent Loki to this new reality.

EliteDaily has a theory that Ravonna could be Kang’s new girlfriend since her character is his girlfriend in the comics.

FandomWire says that a TVA revolt could be coming soon. Now that He Who Remains has been killed, the minds of all the foot soldiers of the TVA have been wiped clean. Only Loki can make them remember what happened. Once they remember how terrible it was to be taken from their own timelines and then brainwashed, the TVA could work together to stop Kang.

The release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may have led to the most interesting theory: now that the multiverse is open, could Loki work with Wanda/Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange? Kang the Conqueror is set to be the main bad guy in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, so we know that the series continues into the MCU. There isn’t any reason why other MCU characters couldn’t show up in an alternate timeline.

Some ideas were also sparked by pictures from the set of Loki’s second season. Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), who was mentioned in Ms. Marvel, was seen on a movie poster. We all know that he is a Bollywood star who is also an Eternal in the MCU. There’s also a poster for a movie called “Zaniac” next to this one. Zaniac is a minor Thor villain who can take control of people and make them kill horrible people. Could he show up in the second season? We’ll probably just have to wait and see what Marvel has planned.
