Shares on Wall Street fall as investors await the results of the tech companies

US stock indices fell on Tuesday in opening as investors waited to see if earnings from major tech companies this week would provide support to a market dominated by concerns over rising inflation and slowing global growth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 142 points, or 0.42%, to 33907.49 points.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened, in drop 18 points, or 0.42%, to 4278.14 points, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 86.8 points, or 0.67%, to 12,918,039 points.
