Sharon Osbourne recently appeared in the British game show I I Lie To You, which features a panel that guesses whether a story told to them by a celebrity is true or false. And, when Osbourne told her story about the dismissal of her husband’s assistant Ozzy after a house fire, the reaction on social networks was a real scandal.
The game started with Osbourne making the statement, “I once fired a member of my staff because he showed absolutely no sense of humor in a fire.” Then the panel started to him ask questions about the story to get more details and determine if it was telling the truth.

Things started to get bogged down quickly when Osborne started to set the scene and share the details of the story because it was much more than an assistant who didn’t laugh in a fire.
Osbourne said that an alarm had started to go off in his house, and Ozzy went downstairs to find out what was going on. It turns out that a gifted candle had started the fire, and when Ozzy called Sharon for help, she discovered her husband in the living room with his arms and hair on fire.
Sharon said that she had pushed Ozzy outside the house into a fountain to put out the fire, then she had found his assistant in a guest house sleeping.
“He said to me:” Is everything all right? “And I say to myself” No, the house is on fire, go out and help me, come in and take out the pictures, “Osbourne recalls.” And there were dogs and I said, ‘You have to go in and find dogs.'”
The assistant entered the house while it was on fire and saved the family dogs and works of art. Osbourne laughed admitting that she had taken his assistant’s oxygen mask from the fire department and put it on one of his dogs before telling him to go back inside and get it more paintings.
“I said, ‘How dare you really. You work here. You’re getting more paintings right now, ” Sharon told the panel. “I took the mask and put it on my dog.”
“Never bring Sharon Osbourne back into the series again. What a disgusting story “https://t.co/HQVoriPLcy

Later that evening Sharon said that she and Ozzy were laughing at all of this, but the assistant told them he didn’t find it funny because it could have damaged the lungs. Then Sharon asked if he would find the following statement funny: “You are fired.”
The panel correctly guessed that Sharon’s story was 100% true because she had given too much detail for it to be a lie. Everyone in the audience laughed, as did the panel, except for Stephen Merchant.
Social media was not laughing at all. In the video comments, one fan asked why Sharon Osbourne would tell such a story on television, and another added that they assumed her public relations guy had also been fired.
One person felt like it all sounded like an episode of Black Mirror, and another wrote that they hoped it was a creative lie.
“Just imagine proudly admiring what you are a horrible human being and being applauded for it,” wrote one disgusted fan.
