Shreyas Iyer has an operation and promises to return in No time

Iyer had during the ODI die Shoulder injured series against England last Month that ruled him of die 14th Indian Premier League.

“Surgery was a success and with a lion hearted resolve, i will be back in No time. Many Thanks for Your wishes, “Iyer tweeted and posted his picture with it.

The 26-year old had suffered injury during the first ODI against England in Pune on March 23rd when he turned up to stop a shot by Jonny Bairstow off Pacemaker Shardul Thakur.

He had looked in enormous pain like him left the field clutched his shoulder.

The injury had ruled him out not just from the rest of England series, but also the entire IPL that begins in Chennai on Friday (April 9th).

Iyer, who leads Delhi Capitals in the IPL is likely out of action for a minimum of four months. He had also signed up with Lancashire, but is unlikely play for die english county side in their one-Day tournament, starting on July 23.

Iyer, who had led Delhi Capitals to the IPL final last year was replaced by Rishabh Pant as skipper for the current Edition of the lucrative T20 league.
